Job Overview

We are looking for a qualified Math Teacher to join a well respected school in Al Ain UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching high quality Math lessons to students in Cycle 2 and Cycle 3 ensuring the curriculum is adhered to and educational standards are met. This is a temporary position with the possibility of extension based on the schools needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: A Bachelor s degree in Mathematics Education or a related field.
• A recognized teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS or equivalent) is preferred.
• ADEK Appointment letter is required.
• IELTS 7.0 Band minimum.
• Experience: At least 35 years of experience teaching Math at the middle and secondary school levels (Grades 6-12).
• Experience teaching in the UAE or GCC region is an advantage but not essential.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Strong ability to plan, organize and deliver engaging Math lessons; Proficiency in using digital tools for teaching and assessments; Effective classroom management skills to maintain a productive and respectful learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lesson Planning and Delivery:
  • Design and deliver interactive and engaging Math lessons covering topics such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and Calculus.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods including group discussions, multimedia resources and real-life applications to aid student understanding.
  • Tailor lessons to meet diverse learning styles and ensure all students are engaged and challenged.
• Assessment and Feedback:
  • Regularly assess student progress through assignments, quizzes and exams.
  • Provide constructive and timely feedback to guide students academic growth.
  • Prepare and grade report cards clearly communicating student progress and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance and address any concerns.
• Classroom Management:
  • Foster a positive respectful classroom environment that promotes curiosity and active learning.
  • Enforce the school’s behavior management policies.
  • Create an inclusive classroom where students feel confident to express themselves and engage in the learning process.
• Curriculum Support:
  • Follow and deliver the school’s Math curriculum while adjusting lesson plans to meet individual student needs.
  • Offer additional support for students who may need extra help including one-on-one tutoring or afterschool assistance.
  • Encourage the development of critical thinking, problem solving and mathematical reasoning.
• Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other members of the Math Department and school staff to ensure effective curriculum delivery.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement of teaching methods.
  • Share best practices and teaching resources with colleagues to improve the overall educational experience.
