Job Overview

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, reliability, and safety of equipment, machinery, and facility systems. The role involves executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities, diagnosing mechanical and electrical failures, coordinating with technical teams, and ensuring minimal downtime. The ideal candidate should possess strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience in maintenance operations, and a thorough understanding of engineering standards, safety procedures, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for equipment and facility infrastructure.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Monitor equipment performance, diagnose recurring issues, and implement engineering solutions to improve reliability.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, service records, spare parts inventory, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with production, operations, and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of parts and equipment.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for breakdowns and implement long-term corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices in maintenance execution.
  • Recommend equipment upgrades, replacements, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support installation, testing, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and machinery.
  • Train maintenance staff on equipment handling, troubleshooting techniques, and safety procedures.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in maintenance engineering within manufacturing, industrial, or oil & gas environments.
  • Proven experience in machine maintenance, diagnostics, and technical troubleshooting.
Skills Required
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and maintenance reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach.
  • Sound knowledge of safety standards, risk assessment, and hazard prevention.
  • Good communication, team coordination, and time management skills.
