Job summary

Park Hyatt Dubai is seeking a Hostess to warmly welcome guests, manage reservations and seating, and ensure a luxurious front-of-house experience. You will escort guests to their tables, coordinate with managers and staff, and maintain an immaculate hostess desk and reception area.

The role requires 1–2 years in guest-facing roles within luxury hospitality, excellent communication, and strong organization to handle busy service periods and diverse guest needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a Diploma in Hospitality or Hotel Management is preferred.
• 1–2 years of guest-facing experience, preferably in a five-star hotel, luxury resort, or upscale restaurant.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of restaurant reservations and guest handling; experience with reservation systems is a plus.
• Professional appearance with grooming standards suitable for luxury hospitality.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; able to work across shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a warm, professional manner with five-star service etiquette.
• Manage reservations, seating plans, and waiting lists for efficient table use.
• Escort guests to tables and present the dining venue appropriately.
• Maintain knowledge of hours, menus, promotions, and dress codes for guest inquiries.
• Recognize returning guests and VIPs to support personalized dining experiences.
• Coordinate with managers, waiters, kitchen staff, and other departments for smooth service.
• Monitor table availability and provide accurate waiting times during peak periods.
• Answer reservation inquiries, amendments, cancellations, and special requests professionally.
• Handle initial guest feedback discreetly and escalate when required.
• Maintain reception areas, menus, reservation records, and hostess desk in pristine condition.
• Support F&B with special arrangements and group reservations; communicate details before arrival.
• Bid farewell to departing guests and seek feedback to conclude the dining experience positively.
