Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe working environment by identifying safety risks, unsafe behaviours, and improvement opportunities.
- Lead, coach, and train logistics associates to meet daily performance, quality, and safety expectations.
- Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately, efficiently, and in line with operational quality guidelines.
- Monitor shift performance and provide timely updates to frontline management, supervisors, and operators.
- Adjust labour allocation during the shift to match workload changes, volume forecasts, and operational priorities.
- Support daily planning by reviewing targets, staffing requirements, process flow, and expected order volumes.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and work with team members to solve problems quickly during live operations.
- Promote a culture of ownership, urgency, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the logistics floor.
- Track adherence to standard operating procedures and support corrective action where process gaps are identified.
- Communicate shift‑related information clearly, including productivity updates, safety concerns, quality issues, and staffing changes.
- Help associates understand customer impact by linking operational execution with delivery reliability and service quality.
- Work with management to improve work area organisation, reduce delays, and support smoother hand‑overs between shifts.
- Encourage safe manual handling, correct equipment usage, and compliance with workplace procedures.
- Support incident escalation, basic investigation follow‑up, and operational reporting when required.
- Maintain focus on customer experience by ensuring orders move through the process with speed, accuracy, and consistency.
Ideal Profile
- Experience in logistics, fulfilment, warehouse operations, transportation, delivery operations, retail operations, or shift supervision.
- Previous experience managing or training frontline associates in a fast‑paced operational environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety practices, quality standards, labour planning, and daily operational execution.
- Ability to make quick decisions during busy shifts while maintaining accuracy, safety, and service standards.
- Good communication skills with the ability to share clear updates with associates, operators, and frontline management.
- Practical problem‑solving ability with confidence identifying issues and supporting immediate improvement actions.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to stay organised, proactive, and accountable during changing operational conditions.
- Ability to motivate team members, set expectations, and support performance improvement in a fair and consistent manner.
