Role Overview
Supervisor - FC Operations in Dubai is a hands‑on logistics and supply chain opportunity for a UAE National who can support inbound or outbound fulfillment center operations, team productivity, safety standards, quality performance, and daily shift execution. This role is designed for a proactive operations supervisor who can plan resources, coach team members, track production metrics, manage attendance and performance, and help create a disciplined, safe, and collaborative fulfillment environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day‑to‑day inbound or outbound fulfillment center activities with responsibility for safety, quality, productivity, and team member experience.
- Plan resources for the assigned function and ensure sufficient staffing is available to meet operational needs.
- Set clear departmental expectations, explain shift priorities, and create a working environment based on teamwork, collaboration, and open communication.
- Monitor absence, performance, training needs, and daily team discipline to support a stronger culture of productivity.
- Coach associates during shifts, provide practical feedback, and support individual development through continuous observation and guidance.
- Understand safety procedures, encourage safe working practices, and ensure accidents or incidents are documented in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prioritize tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and help the department respond to changing operational volumes or business requirements.
- Communicate company policies clearly and ensure policies are applied consistently across the team.
- Track production metrics and use operational data to identify improvement opportunities, performance gaps, and process issues.
- Prepare updates and reports for management, including shift performance, pass downs, time‑card reviews, and operational observations.
- Work with HR, Facilities, Safety, and IT teams to secure support and resources for projects, issue resolution, and improvement initiatives.
- Identify useful ideas from the team and convert them into practical improvement plans for equipment, processing methods, or daily workflows.
- Share best practices across departments, shifts, and wider operations to improve consistency and execution.
- Support long‑term operational planning by providing floor‑level feedback, productivity insights, and improvement suggestions.
- Mentor team members, recognize strong performance, and support progressive coaching for poor performance where required.
- Conduct daily and weekly time‑card reviews to support pay accuracy and clean workforce administration.
- Remain flexible to rotate across shifts or departments and support extended hours, weekends, nights, holidays, and operational peak periods when needed.
- Arrive early and stay after shift when required to complete handovers, reports, pass downs, and time‑card responsibilities.
Ideal Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- UAE National with family book is required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with computers and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications is preferred.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week with overtime when required.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, shifts, departments, weekends, nights, holidays, and peak operational periods.
- Physical ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand or walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain expectations, share updates, and work with different teams.
- Comfortable supervising daily activities, monitoring performance, and supporting team members in a fast‑paced fulfillment environment.
- Ability to remain professional while handling ambiguity, operational change, deadlines, and shifting priorities.
- Proactive approach to problem solving, productivity improvement, safety awareness, and team support.
- Willingness to learn fulfillment center processes and contribute to continuous improvement across inbound or outbound operations.
