Shift Manager – Operations is a full‑time position located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, within the Internet industry focused on operations‑plant management.

Key Responsibilities
- Promote a culture of safety, wellbeing, ownership, and accountability across the assigned operational area.
- Lead and support a large, diverse team to ensure daily shift targets are achieved.
- Monitor productivity, quality, process efficiency, and team performance throughout the shift.
- Analyze operational performance and implement corrective actions where quality, safety, productivity, or workflow standards need improvement.
- Handle administrative responsibilities while building and maintaining a strong team culture.
- Support associates through clear communication, coaching, performance follow‑up, and daily guidance.
- Identify process gaps and suggest improvements that optimize work, reduce inefficiencies, and improve customer service.
- Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes and maintain consistent operating practices.
- Prioritize routine team management, daily operational tasks, individual escalations, and short‑term issue resolution.
- Support wider operational contingency planning when demand changes, disruptions occur, or priorities shift.
- Work with colleagues in other teams and external partners to keep site activity aligned with customer demand and business targets.
- Review data and performance metrics with leaders to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Discuss operational advantages and limitations of technical improvements with engineering teams.
- Maintain site safety standards and ensure team members follow approved working practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve service quality, associate experience, and operational reliability.
- Work flexible shifts, work areas, weekends, nights, or holidays based on operational requirements.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, or at least 3 years of Amazon blue badge or full‑time employee experience.
- Experience in operations management, shift leadership, fulfillment operations, logistics, warehouse operations, retail operations, or frontline team supervision.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, shifts, work areas, weekends, nights, and holidays when required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, support associates, and maintain high performance standards.
- Practical understanding of safety, wellbeing, quality, productivity, workflow control, and daily operational execution.
- Strong analytical ability with experience reviewing performance metrics and identifying improvement actions.
- Experience in process improvement, lean techniques, or performance improvement is preferred.
- Strong communication skills for working with associates, managers, engineers, support teams, and external partners.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, respond quickly to escalations, and keep operations stable under pressure.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to act decisively and follow through on business priorities.
