Job summary

Confidential Company in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Logistics Executive with 8–12 years in import/export, cross-trade and local logistics to ensure uninterrupted operations, manage shipping docs, freight coordination, and customs compliance.

You will process permits, inspections, LC documentation, and timely delivery, coordinating with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, and authorities in a fast-paced trading environment. Strong Excel and ERP skills are required.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in import, export, cross-trade, and local logistics operations.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms and LC requirements.
• Experience handling export, import, and cross-trade shipments from order processing to final delivery.
• Ability to negotiate freight rates with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and transport companies.
• Experience preparing and reviewing shipping documentation in accordance with LC terms and international trade requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end logistics operations for import/export and cross-trade.
• Prepare and review shipping documentation for compliance and accuracy.
• Coordinate with customs authorities, permits, and inspection arrangements.
• Negotiate freight rates with shipping lines and forwarders; optimize costs.
• Verify freight invoices and ensure timely payment processing.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal departments to ensure smooth execution.

The current Logistics Executive has resigned This position is critical to ensure the uninterrupted execution of import export cross-trade and local logistics operations The role supports business continuity by managing shipping documentation freight coordination customs compliance permit processing inspection arrangements and timely delivery of customer orders Filling this position promptly is essential to avoid operational delays maintain customer satisfaction and ensure compliance with international trade and local regulatory requirements

• 8–12 years of experience in import, export, cross-trade, and local logistics operations.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, Incoterms, and Letter of Credit (LC) requirements.
• Experience in handling export, import, and cross-trade shipments from order processing through final delivery.
• Ability to negotiate freight rates with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and transport companies.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing shipping documentation in accordance with LC terms and international trade requirements.
• Knowledge of obtaining import/export permits and coordinating customs clearance activities.
• Experience coordinating third-party inspections (SGS, Bureau Veritas, or equivalent).
• Ability to verify freight and transportation invoices and ensure timely payment processing.
• Strong coordination skills with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, customs authorities, shipping lines, and internal departments.
• Experience supporting local sales logistics, customer KYC documentation, and inventory/fund tracking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel) and ERP systems.
• Experience in trading, manufacturing, or international commodity businesses.
• Familiarity with UAE customs regulations, Ministry permit procedures, and GCC logistics practices.
• Knowledge of supply chain best practices and freight optimization.
• Certifications (if any):Professional certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (preferred).
• Knowledge of Incoterms and International Trade Documentation.
• Knowledge of Letter of Credit (LC) documentation and compliance.

The selected candidate should be capable of independently managing end-to-end logistics operations with minimal supervision.
