Responsibilities
  • Team Supervision: Lead and coordinate the activities of laundry attendants to ensure efficient operation and high-quality service.
  • Laundry Operations: Oversee the entire laundry process, including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and folding, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of all laundry equipment, reporting any maintenance issues to the engineering team for timely repair.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular checks to ensure linens, uniforms, and guest laundry meet company quality standards before distribution.
  • Inventory & Stock Control: Monitor and manage stock levels of detergents, chemicals, and laundry supplies, ensuring proper storage and usage.
  • Guest & Internal Services: Coordinate guest laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing services, ensuring timely delivery and handling of special requests.
  • Sustainability & Waste Management: Implement eco-friendly practices by optimizing water and energy consumption, reducing chemical waste, and promoting sustainable cleaning solutions.
  • Safety & Hygiene Compliance: Ensure all laundry processes comply with hygiene, safety, and infection control standards, including the proper handling of soiled and contaminated linens.
  • Training & Development: Provide training to laundry attendants on best practices, machine operation, safety protocols, and guest service excellence.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the housekeeping, uniform, and linen departments to ensure smooth operations and timely linen distribution.
  • Report & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of laundry operations, including equipment maintenance logs, inventory levels, and performance reports.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or certification in hospitality or textile management is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a hotel or commercial laundry operation, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of laundry chemicals, fabric care, and machine operation.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and quality standards.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with multiple departments.
