Job summary

A leading company in the perfume and cosmetic industry is seeking a Lab Analyst responsible for conducting analytical and physical testing of raw materials and finished products. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience within the industry. Key responsibilities include sample preparation, data recording, quality assurance, and product development support. The role requires hands-on experience with chromatographic instruments and a strong attention to detail. Competitive compensation and a dynamic work environment are offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a laboratory setting within the perfume or cosmetic industry.
  • Hands-on experience with chromatographic instruments (GC-MS, HPLC), including operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and interpretation of chromatograms.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze samples of fragrances and cosmetic formulations.
  • Conduct routine and non-routine chemical, physical, and sensory tests using chromatographic techniques.
  • Accurately record test results and prepare detailed analytical reports.
  • Ensure all work complies with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and ISO standards.

Skills

Hands-on experience with chromatographic instruments (GC-MS, HPLC)
Knowledge of raw material specifications for fragrances or cosmetics
Understanding of regulatory requirements (IFRA, REACH, FDA, EU Cosmetics Regulation)
Strong attention to detail
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Problem-solving skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related field
