Job Title: Junior Accountant

Location: Dubai, DIFC, United Arab Emirates

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. As a Junior Accountant in our Dubai DIFC office, you will support the finance team in delivering high‑quality financial information and maintaining strong financial controls.

What The Day Will Look Like
  • Support the finance team in day‑to‑day accounting and finance activities
  • Assist with monitoring deposits and posting them accurately and on time in the broking system
  • Assist in the timely posting of payments, both fiduciary and non‑fiduciary
  • Process employee expense reports and ensure they comply with company policy
  • Prepare and enter basic intercompany transactions for review and approval
  • Support the preparation of regulatory submissions and required documentation
  • Assist with preparation and coordination of internal and external audits
  • Prepare and update assigned balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with bank reconciliations
  • Support general ledger vs. technical ledger reconciliation activities
  • Help maintain general ledger accounts, including preparing basic journal entries for accruals, amortizations and other month‑end entries under supervision
  • Maintain accurate record keeping and filing of finance documents in the Finance folder
  • Perform other day‑to‑day finance tasks as assigned by the Senior Accountant or Finance Manager

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success
  • 1‑3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or audit (internships and traineeships can be included)
  • Experience with financial accounting, controllership support, or external audit is an advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required
  • Professional certification (e.g. ACCA, CMA, CPA) achieved or in progress is an advantage
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting/ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and time‑management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team and communicate effectively in English
