Role & responsibilities
1. Market Intelligence & Strategic Analysis
- Qualify vs. Disqualify: Analyze potential prospects to determine if they are worth pursuing. Evaluate technical fit (e.g., Do they have a complex IT infrastructure? Do they fit our revenue tier?).
- Account Mapping: Research target organizations to identify decision-makers (CIOs, IT Heads) vs. influencers (System Admins), understanding the hierarchy before outreach begins.
- Competitor Analysis: Identify which monitoring tools the prospect is currently using (SolarWinds, Dynatrace, etc.) to arm the field team with competitive intelligence.
2. Outbound Outreach & Meeting Generation
- Multi-Channel Prospecting: Execute high-volume but personalized outreach via cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn to generate interest.
- Appointment Setting: The core KPI for this role is securing confirmed meetings (demos/introductions) for the Business Development Managers (BDMs).
- Database Building: Master the use of ZoomInfo, Lusha, Instantly and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to build and maintain a robust database of verified contacts.
3. Sales Operations & CRM Hygiene
- CRM Management: Ensure every interaction, lead status, and account detail is meticulously updated in the CRM.
- Lead Handoff: Ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads to the field sales team, providing them with briefing notes on the prospects pain points and tech stack.
- The "Hunter" Mindset: Comfortable with rejection and persistent in following up.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to look at a companys profile and quickly deduce if they are a viable customer for IT Infrastructure monitoring.
Preferred candidate profile
Minimum Qualifications: Open to learn and grow.
Minimum Experience: 2–4 years of experience in Inside Sales, Business Development (SDR/BDR), or Lead Generation within the SaaS or B2B Tech industry.
Knowledge:
- Expertise in ZoomInfo (or similar intelligence platforms) is a must.
- Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot, MS Sharepoint etc.).
- Familiarity with AI writing tools (ChatGPT/Gemini) for drafting email copy is a plus.
Skills: Strong verbal communication for cold calling and professional written skills for email correspondence.
