Hotel IT Technician – Systems & Guest Support

Job summary

Accor is seeking an IT Support/IT Technician for our Abu Dhabi hotel to maintain IT systems, provide frontline technical support to guests and staff, and ensure security and backup policies are followed. The role requires a degree in IT or CS and relevant certifications.

You will work on-site to keep systems running and collaborate with the IT development team on hotel projects. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong problem solving, interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle guest needs

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, Computer Science or related field.
• Experience embedding change projects.
• IT certifications such as CCNA or CCNP, CompTIA A+ or CompTIA N+ are advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
• Highly responsible & reliable with attention to detail.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.

Responsibilities

• Perform IT maintenance activities monthly.
• Follow Accor IT policies and guidelines.
• Identify IT risks and elevate them to hotel management.
• Manage day-to-day IT operations for hotel systems.
• Provide technical support and training on systems and networks.
• Follow backup and archiving guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs and data restoration.
• Monitor systems and network performance daily.
• Understand the applicability of new and improved IT developments and solutions.
• Display ability to identify potential upgrades, enhancements, new products and their effects
• Conduct basic software training.
• Demonstrate good understanding of the hotel's software / hardware.
• Conduct tests on hardware /software for maintenance purposes.
• Perform diagnostic functions including replacing suspect components with other serviceable components and reloading of associated software.
• Perform routine maintenance activities in order to identify and/or prevent events that might hinder operations.
• Install only the latest, original and properly licensed software is running on the hotel's systems and computers.
• Maintain software licenses and follow recommended upgrade schedules.
• Provide local first level technology, guest & employee end-user support.
• Troubleshoot issues on hotel's local network, computers, software and systems.
• Work as onsite hand-and-eyes function for remote support.
• Assist the IT New Developments team with new hotel developments and hotel integration projects as required.
