Role Context

The Head of Mathematics will provide academic and instructional leadership for the Mathematics department, ensuring that curriculum delivery, classroom practice, assessment, and teacher development contribute to consistently strong student outcomes. Rather than focusing only on departmental administration, the role requires active involvement in teaching improvement. The successful candidate will work directly with Mathematics teachers to strengthen subject knowledge, instructional techniques, lesson design, assessment practices, and classroom pedagogy. Close collaboration with school leaders will also be essential. Through effective planning, performance monitoring, classroom observation, coaching, and data-informed intervention, the Head of Mathematics will help establish consistently high standards across the department.
