Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Mathematics department with a clear focus on curriculum quality, teaching standards, academic progress, and student achievement.
• Work directly with Mathematics teachers to improve subject knowledge, instructional skills, lesson delivery, and classroom pedagogy.
• Support teachers in planning effective Mathematics lessons that strengthen conceptual understanding, reasoning, numeracy, and problem‑solving.
• Contribute actively to team planning, departmental targets, schemes of work, assessment planning, and academic improvement priorities.
• Work closely with school leaders to support the improvement of academic standards across Mathematics.
• Monitor teaching and learning through lesson observations, lesson plan reviews, student work checks, and assessment data analysis.
• Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and professional guidance to teachers to improve classroom outcomes.
• Ensure Mathematics lessons are aligned with CBSE curriculum expectations and UAE framework of teaching standards.
• Support the development of assessment tools, revision plans, intervention strategies, enrichment activities, and learning resources.
• Analyze student attainment and progress data to identify learning gaps and recommend targeted improvement actions.
• Promote differentiated instruction to support students with varied abilities, learning needs, and academic levels.
• Encourage the use of educational technology, interactive teaching methods, and practical problem‑solving activities in Mathematics lessons.
• Maintain accurate departmental records, curriculum documents, assessment data, progress reports, meeting notes, and academic evidence.
• Support inspection readiness, internal academic reviews, and school improvement initiatives related to Mathematics teaching and learning.
• Build a collaborative department culture focused on professional growth, accountability, innovation, and student success.
• Communicate professionally with teachers, students, parents, coordinators, and senior leadership when required.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
• Master of Science in Mathematics.
• Bachelor of Education qualification is required.

• Fully qualified Mathematics teacher with exceptional subject knowledge.
• Proven experience teaching Mathematics in a school environment.
