Job Summary
Maths Teacher – Primary and Secondary (Dubai, United Arab Emirates). Full‑time position with an estimated salary of 7,000–11,000 AED. Requires a minimum of 2–3 years of UAE teaching experience, knowledge of the British or CBSE curriculum, and strong mathematics subject knowledge across primary or secondary grades.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons for assigned primary or secondary classes.
- Apply teaching methods aligned with British or CBSE curriculum expectations.
- Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of the mathematics curriculum.
- Assist teachers in preparing effective daily lesson plans and differentiated learning activities.
- Provide guidance on teaching strategies, classroom resources, and assessment methods.
- Conduct lesson observations and share constructive developmental feedback.
- Participate in team teaching, model lessons, and collaborative classroom support.
- Deliver continuous professional development sessions for mathematics teachers.
- Review schemes of work, lesson plans, assessments, and curriculum coverage.
- Monitor student attainment and identify areas requiring academic intervention.
- Support teachers in using assessment data to improve planning and instruction.
- Promote numeracy, mathematical reasoning, problem‑solving, and conceptual understanding.
- Coordinate with the Head of Mathematics on departmental priorities and improvement plans.
- Contribute to assessment moderation, curriculum review, and academic quality processes.
- Maintain accurate records of lesson observations, student progress, and departmental actions.
- Support mathematics enrichment activities, competitions, and intervention programmes.
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, teachers, and school leaders.
- Perform general teaching and departmental duties required to meet academic objectives.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Recognised teaching qualification such as a Bachelor of Education (preferred).
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant teaching experience with UAE teaching experience and knowledge of local school expectations.
- Familiarity with British or CBSE curriculum standards.
- Strong mathematics subject knowledge across primary or secondary grade levels.
- Experience supporting teachers through lesson observation, coaching, or team teaching.
- Ability to prepare effective lesson plans, assessments, and differentiated activities.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Competence in analysing student progress and planning targeted interventions.
- Effective written and spoken English communication skills.
- Strong organisation, collaboration, and time‑management abilities.
