Senior in-house communications leadership role within a global investment organisation in the UAE

We are recruiting a Head of Communications, Asset Management, for a leading, Abu Dhabi-based global investment organisation. This is a senior in-house communications leadership role, based in the UAE, with responsibility for shaping reputation, supporting business strategy and engaging key stakeholders across the region and internationally. This role sits at the centre of a high-performing investment and strategy environment and will work closely with senior leadership to deliver clear, credible and effective communications across multiple audiences.

Head of Communications role overview

As Head of Communications, you will be responsible for setting and delivering the organisation’s communications strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and long-term positioning. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on execution across external communications, CEO positioning, internal engagement, media relations and thought leadership. The role also overseas their digital, social and content strategy. You will operate as a trusted senior adviser to leadership, managing complex issues and supporting the organisation through periods of growth, scrutiny and change.

Key responsibilities across communications and reputation
  • Work closely with the leadership team on executive strategy and reputation positioning
  • Develop and lead an integrated communications strategy aligned to organisational objectives and brand positioning.
  • Oversee media relations, including press strategy, announcements, journalist engagement and media materials.
  • Lead content creation across channels, including thought leadership, reports, speeches, press releases and digital communications.
  • Provide senior support on crisis communications and sensitive issues management.
  • Manage communications with key stakeholders, including clients, investors, partners and internal audiences.
  • Oversee the organisation’s external presence at conferences, events and partnerships, including media engagement and supporting materials.
  • Oversee the website, social and content channels.
  • Manage external agencies and specialist advisers to ensure quality, consistency and strategic alignment.
  • Contribute to the development of communications governance, reporting and best practice.
Candidate profile and experience
  • Extensive experience in senior communications leadership roles, ideally within investment, asset management, financial services or similarly complex environments.
  • Recent International experience from a major financial hub is essential
  • A strong track record in developing and delivering strategic communications and managing media relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and credibly.
  • Experience advising senior executives and working with boards or executive committees.
  • Strong judgement, discretion and the ability to operate effectively in high-profile and sensitive situations.
