Job summary

Rotana in Abu Dhabi is seeking a dynamic Front Desk Agent to deliver guest-centric service and ensure a memorable stay. You will greet guests by name, assist with inquiries, and manage check-in/check-out using our Front Office systems.

The ideal candidate has hospitality training or a related degree, good English communication, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hotel environment. Opera PMS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ideally a degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Previous experience in the Front Office department within a hotel.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; knowledge of an additional language is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy, with previous experience using Opera PMS considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service to all guests, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction through personalized service from arrival to departure.
• Ensure guests are personally greeted by name, whenever possible, and escorted to their rooms to make them feel welcomed and valued.
• Conduct in-room and hotel familiarization, assisting guests with inquiries and requests regarding hotel activities and services.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel information and local services, including operating hours, promotions, events, attractions, and other relevant information to respond effectively to guest inquiries.
• Maintain awareness of daily room rates and occupancy levels.
• Accurately perform Front Desk cashiering duties in accordance with established systems, policies, and procedures.
• Process guest accounts from check-in to check-out, ensuring accurate posting of all incidental charges using computerized Front Office systems.
• Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality by ensuring that personal information is not disclosed to unauthorized individuals.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of hotel policies, procedures, and service standards, along with comprehensive knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and ongoing activities.
