ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installation:
- Install and commission new air conditioning and refrigeration units within the hotel.
- Connect systems to water and power supply lines, air ducts, and other necessary components.
- Maintenance:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on all AC and refrigeration units, including cleaning, lubricating, and tuning.
- Inspect systems and components to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Repair:
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in air conditioning and refrigeration systems efficiently and effectively.
- Replace defective parts and components as needed.
- Test repaired systems for proper functionality and performance.
- System Upgrades:
- Recommend and implement system upgrades to enhance energy efficiency and performance.
- Install and configure advanced control systems, such as smart thermostats.
- Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance and repair work complies with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Handle refrigerants in accordance with environmental laws and hotel policies.
- Customer Service:
- Interact with guests and staff to address and resolve any issues related to air conditioning and refrigeration.
- Provide clear explanations and updates on repair and maintenance activities.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used and time spent.
- Complete necessary documentation for billing and regulatory compliance.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and components.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Educational Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Vocational training or certification in HVAC or refrigeration technology.
- Attention to Detail:
- Focus on precision and accuracy in all tasks.
- Problem-Solving:
- Ability to analyze issues and develop effective solutions.
- Communication:
- Clear and concise communication with team members and guests.

- Industry: Hospitality.
- Role Specific Qualifications & Training:
- EPA certification for handling refrigerants (if applicable).
- Other relevant certifications (e.g., NATE, HVAC Excellence) are a plus.
- Languages Required: English.
- Computer and Software Proficiency: Familiarity with HVAC diagnostic tools and specialized software for system calibration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Travel Availability / Time Flexibility: Global Island – Dubai / Very Essential.
