Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand event requirements and preferences
- Assist in planning and organizing food and beverage events considering budget constraints
- Coordinate with various departments across the Hotel to ensure seamless execution of the events
- Manage and supervise event staff ensuring proper training and performance
- Oversee catering logistics including menu selection, food presentation and service quality
- Monitor and control event budgets, expenses and revenue goals
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during events
- Address and resolve issues or concerns that may arise during events
- Maintain relationships with vendors and take part in purchasing negotiations/contract for services
- Implement and uphold quality standards for food and beverage offerings
- Stay updated on industry trends and suggest innovative ideas for events
- Provide exceptional guest service to enhance overall guest satisfaction
- Prepare post‑event reports and analyze performance for future improvements
- Contribute to marketing efforts to promote food and beverage events
- Stay informed about emerging trends in the food and hospitality industry
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- College Degree in Business, Hospitality or Related field preferred
- One to two years in a public contact position preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
- Enter and locate work related information using computers and/or point of sale systems
- Possess a gracious, friendly and fun demeanor
- Ability to multitask work in a fast‑paced environment and have a high‑level attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
- Ability to work independently and partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
- Must have knowledge of Food and Beverage preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations on bar operation
