Job summary

Atlantis Resorts seeks a Facilities Supervisor - Kitchen and Laundry in Dubai, UAE to oversee maintenance of commercial kitchen, laundry and refrigeration equipment, as well as MEP systems. About the Role

This technical supervisory position coordinates maintenance resources, work orders and Planned Preventive Maintenance activities while supporting the Facilities team with troubleshooting, training and operational guidance. Working closely with Kitchen Operations and other departments, you will monitor equipment performance, respond to breakdowns and help minimize downtime. The scope includes kitchen and laundry equipment, refrigeration systems, boilers, kitchen ventilation and hood suppression systems, SNG systems and related facilities infrastructure.

Maintenance and Technical Operations

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance colleagues, resources and assigned work orders.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and within required timeframes.
• Oversee inspection, repair and preventive maintenance of commercial kitchen, laundry and refrigeration equipment.
• Support maintenance requirements involving electrical, mechanical and related MEP systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate corrective action when faults or breakdowns occur.
• Maintain issued tools and equipment in serviceable condition and ensure required testing, inspection and calibration remain current.
• Ensure kitchen and laundry general maintenance requirements are addressed promptly.
• Maintain appropriate lighting and lux levels to support safe and efficient operations.
• Independently respond to technical requirements and breakdowns across morning, evening and night operations.

Planned Preventive Maintenance and Compliance

• Manage the PPM programme for kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Ensure scheduled preventive maintenance is completed and accurately documented.
• Maintain PPM documentation using the required ISO 22000 formatting process and ensure completed records are verified and signed off.
• Maintain refrigeration calibration records and verify internal and external calibration certificates.
• Keep refrigeration equipment disinfection records current according to approved schedules.
• Ensure equipment water filters and softeners are replaced according to schedules and manufacturer recommendations.
• Maintain documentation supporting ISO 22000, Earth Check and HACCP compliance and audit requirements.
• Record and maintain daily refrigeration temperature readings.
• Ensure required SNG utility readings are accurately recorded.
• Monitor monthly Freon and refrigerant consumption against approved LPOs.
• Maintain PPM schedules and records for kitchen hood suppression, SNG and kitchen ventilation systems.

Boilers, Inventory and Project Support

• Ensure safe and efficient operation of laundry boilers and associated equipment.
• Monitor boiler water quality parameters daily and maintain accurate records.
• Conduct monthly inventories of essential maintenance spare parts.
• Maintain minimum spare-part stock levels required for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Provide technical coordination for CAPEX and Culinary projects.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and contractors to support project execution according to approved specifications, safety standards and project requirements.

Safety and Team Leadership

• All maintenance work must comply with applicable health, safety, environmental and property requirements. This includes correct PPE use, safe working practices, risk assessments and established safety procedures.
• You will conduct regular team meetings and briefings, communicate operational priorities and provide technical training according to the approved monthly training calendar.
• Significant technical, safety, equipment or operational issues must be escalated promptly to senior management with clear technical advice and recommended corrective actions.

About You

• Candidates must hold a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and have at least five years of experience involving large-scale commercial kitchens, refrigeration and laundry equipment operations, repair and maintenance.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, fault-finding and rectification skills are required across electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, kitchen and laundry equipment.
• You should also have practical knowledge of Planned Preventive Maintenance and reactive or corrective maintenance.
• The position requires the ability to make appropriate technical decisions under operational pressure, work safely in restricted or challenging areas and communicate effectively across teams and departments.
• You should be capable of training maintenance colleagues in equipment operation, troubleshooting, maintenance procedures and safe working practices.
• Basic computer applications, Microsoft Office and maintenance documentation systems should also be familiar.
