Context

The Facilities team is responsible for maintaining the technical condition, safety, appearance, and operational readiness of Atlantis The Royal. Depending on seniority and technical background, successful candidates may carry out maintenance tasks, coordinate daily work assignments, supervise technicians, or assist with the management of resort-wide facilities operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair facilities, equipment, and building systems across the resort.
• Respond promptly to technical faults, maintenance requests, and urgent operational issues.
• Complete preventive and corrective maintenance according to approved schedules and procedures.
• Diagnose equipment defects and determine the appropriate repair or escalation process.
• Support the reliable operation of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and general building systems where relevant to the assigned trade.
• Record completed work, materials used, equipment condition, and outstanding maintenance requirements.
• Follow health, safety, environmental, and operational standards during every task.
• Maintain tools, workshops, plant rooms, and technical work areas in a safe and organized condition.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, security, food and beverage, front office, and other resort departments when resolving facilities concerns.
• Minimize disruption to guests and operations while completing maintenance activities.
• Report recurring faults, safety risks, and major equipment defects to the appropriate supervisor.
• Support emergency maintenance activities and business‑critical repairs when required.
• Team Leaders will distribute work, monitor completion, guide technicians, and help maintain shift performance.
• Assistant Managers will support team planning, maintenance priorities, service standards, reporting, and departmental coordination.
• Work professionally in guest‑facing areas while protecting the service standards and presentation of Atlantis The Royal.

Ideal Profile

• At least 1 to 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, hotel engineering, building services, or a related technical role.
• A relevant trade certificate, vocational qualification, diploma, or technical training is preferred.
• Practical knowledge in areas such as electrical systems, mechanical equipment, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, or general maintenance.
• Previous experience in a luxury hotel, resort, commercial property, or large facilities environment is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Capable of handling several tasks while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
• Able to remain calm, organized, and productive under operational pressure.
• Committed to workplace safety, equipment care, and high maintenance standards.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and varied schedules based on resort requirements.
• Leadership experience is expected for Team Leader and Assistant Manager opportunities.
• Motivated to develop technical capability and build a long‑term career in luxury hospitality.
