Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking skilled Electrical Technicians for a nuclear facility in Abu Dhabi. Candidates will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and testing of electrical systems. Requirements include 3+ years of relevant experience and familiarity with nuclear operations and safety standards. The role offers standard hours of 8 hours a day, 6 days a week, with additional compensation available during outages. Accommodation and transport are provided.

Electrical Technicians - Nuclear

Overview

We are seeking skilled Electrical Technicians to execute maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and testing of electrical systems within nuclear facilities. The role ensures safe and compliant work in controlled environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical maintenance on motors, switchgear, MCCs, generators, transformers, and control panels
  • Install cables, trays, terminations, and conduits
  • Assist with electrical equipment inspections and testing (IR, continuity, functional)
  • Follow nuclear isolation requirements, permit to work procedures, and radiological controls
  • Complete work reports and QC documentation
Candidate Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience as an electrical technician
  • Mandatory: Experience working in nuclear plants or controlled environments
  • Strong understanding of LV/MV electrical systems
  • Ability to work safely in radiological zones and comply with nuclear QA standards
Work Schedule & Conditions
  • Standard: 8 hours per day, 6 days per week
  • Pre-outage: 40-48 hours per week (as required)
  • Outage period: Up to 72 hours per week, with overtime applicable after 48 hours
