Job description

As an Electrical Engineer you will play a vital role in designing implementing and maintaining sophisticated electrical systems that support our corrosion control technologies. This position requires a fusion of core electrical engineering principles with a nuanced understanding of corrosion and cathodic protection systems to ensure safety efficiency and long-term asset protection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design & Development:

    • Develop and design electrical circuits, control panels, and instrumentation tailored for corrosion protection systems such as cathodic protection units.
    • Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system specifications to support both new installations and ongoing maintenance projects.
  • Project Implementation & Support:

    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including corrosion engineers, field technicians and project managers to integrate electrical solutions seamlessly into overall project designs.
    • Direct technical evaluations and implement electrical systems in accordance with project timelines and operational requirements.
  • System Testing & Troubleshooting:

    • Conduct rigorous testing and calibration on electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and optimal performance in harsh environments.
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues during installation and operational phases, executing prompt corrective measures to minimize downtime.
  • Safety & Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure all electrical designs and work practices meet local, regional and international safety standards (e.g. IEC, UL).
    • Develop and enforce preventive maintenance plans, quality control procedures and safety protocols to mitigate risks associated with high-performance electrical operations.
  • Documentation & Reporting:

    • Maintain comprehensive records of technical designs, test outcomes and maintenance activities.
    • Prepare detailed technical reports, cost estimates and project documentation required for regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay current with emerging technologies in electrical engineering and corrosion prevention fields.
    • Propose innovative approaches and participate in research and development initiatives aimed at improving system efficiency and longevity.
Requirements
  • Must be Emirati national.
  • Educational Background:

    • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required. Candidates holding a Master's degree or possessing professional certifications (e.g. FE/PE) are highly preferred.
  • Professional Experience:

    • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing electrical systems within industrial or infrastructure projects.
    • Experience with cathodic protection systems instrumentation and control systems is especially valuable.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, MATLAB or equivalent design and simulation packages.
    • Solid understanding of circuit analysis, electrical diagnostics and system integration techniques.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities coupled with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
