Job summary

Cognita Schools, Middle East office, seeks an HR Executive to support people operations across the GCC. You will manage HR administration, employee queries, payroll inputs, and offboarding, while ensuring UAE Labour Law compliance and safeguarding standards.

In a multi-school environment you’ll maintain records, support HR systems improvements, and act as a first point of contact for ER issues, contributing to a positive employee experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
• Desirable: Professional HR qualification (CIPD or equivalent).
• Experience in a generalist HR role covering the full employee lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases across the lifecycle.
• Respond promptly to employee queries in line with SLAs.
• Administer HR policies, procedures, and employee benefits.
• Draft communications including letters, NOCs, certificates, and contracts.
• Oversee visa, work permit, and medical insurance processes and renewals.
• Track attendance, leave, training and performance review documentation.
• Support payroll inputs and verify processing accuracy.
• Prepare HR reports and audit-ready documentation.
• Contribute to HR systems improvement and employee engagement initiatives.
• Provide HR advice on performance, grievance and disciplinary matters.
• Manage end-to-end offboarding including EOSB, visa and insurance cancellation.
• Support safeguarding, health & safety training and incident reporting.
