Jumeirah Burj Al Arab is seeking a Director – Guest Experience Curator to lead the Butler and Guest Relations teams, shaping the VIP guest journey with thoughtful, discreet service across pre-arrival, arrivals, and ongoing stays.

The ideal candidate will hold a hospitality degree, bring 10+ years in ultra-luxury leadership, oversee a 24-hour operation with 150+ colleagues, and drive personalisation, budgeting, payroll and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related discipline.
• Fluent written and spoken English; second language is strongly preferred.
• 10+ years in ultra-luxury hospitality leadership, with Butler experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver Butler and Guest Relations strategy and plan.
• Oversee pre-arrival planning and VIP experiences, ensuring personalized service.

About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director – Guest Experience Curator role to join Jumeirah Burj Al Arab.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

• Define and deliver the Butler and Guest Relations strategy and annual plan while leading, planning, and engaging both teams through clear leadership structures.
• Oversee pre-arrival planning, VIP/special-occasion experiences, and end-to-end guest journeys to ensure service is thoughtful, proportionate, and discreetly delivered.
• Record and discreetly share accurate, relevant guest preferences and profiles across Butler and Guest Relations to drive personalization.
• Maintain a high operational visibility during peak times and VIP arrivals while managing escalated service recovery with empathy and sound judgment.
• Build a culture of anticipatory service, recruit and develop team members, conduct service audits, and use feedback to drive continuous improvement.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration or a related discipline, complemented by fluent written and spoken English; proficiency in two additional languages is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years’ progressive leadership experience in ultra-luxury hospitality, including substantial leadership responsibility within a high-level Butler environment. Conventional Front Office or Rooms leadership experience alone is not sufficient.
• Proven experience leading a large, multicultural department of significant scale, ideally 150 or more colleagues, through multiple management levels and a 24-hour operation.
• Strong track record of elevating highly personalised service standards and delivering exceptional experiences for VIP, high-profile and high-net-worth guests.
• Demonstrated success in building high-performing teams, strengthening leadership capability and embedding a consistent service culture at scale.
• Experience managing departmental budgets, payroll, productivity, quality measures and complex cross-functional operations.
