Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Civil / Structural Engineer to join our team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The position is responsible for ensuring all civil and structural works are executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable Abu Dhabi and UAE regulations.

We envisage success in this role to include:

  • Review and monitor civil and structural construction works, including foundations, substructures, superstructures, and associated infrastructure works.
  • Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and method statements.
  • Review contractor submissions such as shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Identify non-conformances, issue site instructions, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Verify quantities, progress reports, and support the certification of contractor payments related to civil/structural works.
  • Assist in reviewing variations, technical queries, and construction-related issues.
  • Coordinate closely with contractors, subcontractors, and other discipline engineers to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Liaise with design consultants to clarify design intent and resolve site-related technical issues.
  • Interface with local authorities and stakeholders as required, including submissions, inspections, and approvals.
  • Participate in site meetings, technical workshops, and coordination meetings, providing civil/structural input.
  • Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi and UAE regulations, including ADM/DMT requirements, UAE Building Codes, and relevant international standards (e.g., ACI, BS, ASTM).
  • Monitor quality control procedures, material testing, and inspections to ensure compliance with approved standards.
  • Ensure implementation of HSE requirements in coordination with the project HSE team.
  • Support sustainability and compliance requirements such as Estidama where applicable.
