Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of a bakery station and lead its daily operations.
  • Prepare and bake a variety of breads, viennoiseries and specialty items.
  • Ensure consistency in quality, portioning and presentation.
  • Train and guide junior bakers and commis.
  • Monitor mise en place, baking times and proofing processes.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene procedures (HACCP compliance).
  • Support the Bakery Sous Chef in stock control and workflow planning.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in your section.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-4 years of bakery experience, including time as a CDP.
  • Diploma/Bachelors Degree in Bakery Arts, Hospitality or a related field.
  • HACCP Certified; must understand food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Skilled in baking techniques including lamination, fermentation and shaping.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail and teamwork.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, quality-focused production environment.
