Baker - Fine Dining experience only.
Responsibilities
- Manage quantities to be baked, ensuring supply while minimizing waste.
- Establish the menu for bread offerings, balancing maintenance and innovation.
- Cost out offerings to ensure appropriate margins.
- Try new recipes and tweak as needed, without fear of failing.
- Dispose of any bread that does not meet excellent quality standards.
- Execute large custom-made orders.
- Execute occasional pre-order specials.
- Keep work areas clean and presentable, updating lists as required to maintain a tidy environment.
- Maintain inventory for baking-related ingredients and place orders or report to Head Cook to buy as needed.
- Notify if tools are not functioning properly and report any maintenance needs.
- Abide by health and safety laws.
Qualifications
- Head Baker must have at least 3 to 4 years of baking experience.
- Ability to work independently.
- Available to start as soon as possible.
