Objective: The Assistant Manager - Learning and Development will create and implement training programs while supporting career development across the organization. The position establishes performance measures, evaluates productivity, and helps employees develop longer-term career plans while ensuring training activities respond effectively to business requirements.
The Assistant Manager will monitor, motivate, supervise, and guide the training team while supporting the effective delivery of learning initiatives. The role is also responsible for manpower planning within the training department and ensuring the team follows appropriate learning and development practices.
The position will visit or conduct training sessions at Corporate Offices across regions when necessary to assess back-office employee skills. Assessments may include mock sessions and direct observation, followed by constructive feedback designed to improve employee capability and performance.
