Job summary

AccorHotels Middle East is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and maintain high standards of cleanliness for all hotel areas. You will coordinate VIP arrivals with Front Office, manage inventory and budgets, and ensure compliance with hygiene standards.

The role requires leadership, training ability, and strong English communication in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hotel facilities and daily duties.
• Diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent certification.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar role in a 4–5 star hotel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Excellent knowledge of hotel standards, practices and housekeeping operations.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in staff training and development.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of floral decoration, materials, fabrics and flooring.
• Stamina to work across hotel areas and respond to cues.
• Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Familiarity with inventory management and budgeting processes.
• Cooperation and respect within the team and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily housekeeping operations, including room inspections and VIP arrivals.
• Collaborate with the Housekeeping Manager to develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Supervise and train housekeeping staff, ensuring adherence to hotel standards and safety protocols.
• Manage VIP arrivals and special requests, coordinating with Front Office and other departments.
• Monitor and control inventory of cleaning supplies, linens and amenities.
• Oversee maintenance and repair programs for guest rooms.
• Assist in budget preparation and cost control measures.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries and maintain high service levels.
• Stay informed about industry trends and innovative cleaning techniques.
• Ensure adherence to international hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Prepare duty rosters for housekeeping employees.
