Job summary

Damen is seeking a commercially driven Sales Manager to strengthen our regional sales team across the Middle East. The role focuses on developing sales strategies, building relationships with customers, agents, government entities, and marine companies, and coordinating with internal teams to close deals.

You will drive growth across assigned territories, negotiate quotations and contracts, and represent Damen at industry events and meetings. Frequent travel across the Middle East is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of sales or business development experience in the Middle East.
• Experience in maritime, marine, offshore, shipbuilding, or capital goods industries.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent English communication; Arabic is a plus; Dutch is mentioned as proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales and business development activities within assigned territories.
• Build long-term relationships with customers, agents, government entities, port operators, contractors, and marine companies.
• Identify market opportunities and convert leads into commercial success.
• Prepare and negotiate quotations, contracts, pricing, delivery terms, and commercial agreements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders including engineering, legal, finance, services, and project teams.
• Monitor market developments and provide strategic commercial insights to management.
• Represent Damen at industry events, trade fairs, conferences, and customer meetings.
• Support customers throughout the sales lifecycle, including after-sales activities and issue resolution.
