Description

Ontime Group is looking for a knowledgeable Accountant for our Real Estate division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations related to real estate projects ensuring compliance with financial regulations and providing critical support for decision-making processes.

Role Purpose

Provide reliable day‑to‑day accounting and finance support for each property entity and the head office ensuring accurate books timely reporting and clear visibility of cash.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting
  • Post accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank transactions and journals for property SPVs and the holding company.
  • Maintain the fixed‑asset register and run monthly depreciation.
  • Reconcile all bank client and control accounts each month.
Month-End Close & Reporting
  • Close the ledgers and produce property‑level and consolidated P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements.
  • Prepare management reports with variance explanations for senior management and investors.
Cash & Treasury
  • Monitor daily cash positions and update short‑term cash‑flow forecasts.
  • Arrange supplier payments, loan drawdowns/repayments and interest calculations.
  • Track lender covenants and upcoming funding requirements.
Budgeting & Forecasts
  • Coordinate annual budgets with the asset‑management and property‑management teams.
  • Maintain a rolling 12‑month forecast and highlight funding gaps or cost overruns.
Tax & Compliance
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, service‑charge reconciliations and corporation‑tax information packs.
  • Support the year‑end audit providing schedules and responding to auditor queries.
Stakeholder Support
  • Act as the finance point of contact for lenders, auditors, property managers and internal departments.
  • Provide ad‑hoc financial data and analysis when required.
Requirements
  • Qualifications & Experience
    • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
    • Part‑qualified or newly qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA (or equivalent).
    • 35 years accounting experience ideally in real estate, property management or audit.
    • Strong Excel skills; experience with Yardi, MRI or similar property software is an advantage.
