We are seeking a talented and experienced 3D CAD Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team within a leading automotive solutions company based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and developing innovative automotive products and components from concept through to production. This position requires a strong background in mechanical, electrical or automotive engineering as well as the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend virtual meetings with clients to gather technical requirements and understand project objectives.
- Develop initial design proposals in line with client needs, industry standards and engineering best practices.
- Prepare and deliver design presentations for internal teams and clients.
- Modify designs based on feedback to ensure customer satisfaction and project feasibility.
- Create detailed engineering drawings and production documents based on approved concepts.
- Produce prototypes for testing and validation using in‑house 3D printing and prototyping tools.
- Compile all supporting technical documentation including Bills of Materials (BOM), installation guides and operating manuals.
- Liaise with suppliers to acquire quotes for tooling, manufacturing, assembly and logistics.
- Coordinate with Sales and Quality Control teams to support testing, production and rollout timelines.
- Monitor production activities and ensure adherence to deadlines and specifications.
- Complete project close‑out procedures including documentation and internal reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Production/Manufacturing Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a design‑focused engineering role within the automotive sector.
- Proficient in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills in English – verbal, written and interpersonal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general PC‑based engineering tools.
- Solid understanding of automotive design principles, drafting standards and industry norms.
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail and problem‑solving orientation.
