A leading trailer management firm in Johannesburg is seeking a highly experienced supervisory candidate to lead workshop operations. Responsibilities include managing trailer repairs, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate must have over 10 years of experience in trailer manufacturing, 5 years in a supervisory role, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The position demands excellent communication, planning abilities, and a strong team-oriented mindset.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the trailer manufacturing and repairs.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory role.
- Must be well acquainted with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage workshop operations and ensure daily housekeeping.
- Provide excellent pre and post-sale service.
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

- Material inspection daily liaising with stores to ensure proper material planning
- Maintain discipline on the floor and making sure that target is reached
- Evaluate the skills level of the production team
- Provide additional training to team where needed
- Must be able to manage labor hours on a daily basis as well as overtime

- Bilingual
- Must be well acquainted with health and safety regulations and insure that it is practices accordingly
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the trailer manufacturing and repairs
- Minimum of 5 years experience in supervisory role
- Qualification in Trade (Boilermaker, Diesel Mechanic, Fitter) will be advantage
- Own transport
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Extensive trailer and trailer part knowledge
- Experience in Hydraulics, airbrakes, air suspension.
- Must be able to perform well under pressure
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Must be a team player
- Must be determent and able to preserve
- Excellent communication skills
- Energetic and able to initiate action
- Apply professional and technical expertise
- Must have excellent planning ability
