Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Youth Engagement Coordinator for the George, Western Cape region. You will lead, design, and monitor youth programs; build relationships with schools, community leaders, and local organisations; and drive opportunities in education, employment, and volunteering.

The role demands a Bachelor’s in a relevant field, at least four years of hands-on youth work, strong communication and budgeting skills, and a passion for youth development in George.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 4+ years of experience working directly with young people in a program coordination or leadership role.
• Experience in program development, event management, and volunteer coordination.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of youth development principles and Western Cape context.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage programs for youth aged 12-25.
• Build relationships with youth, schools, and community leaders.
• Organise workshops, mentoring sessions, and activities on life skills, career guidance, and civic engagement.
• Connect youth with educational, employment, and volunteering opportunities.
• Monitor program effectiveness and report outcomes.
• Be a positive role model and mentor for the youth.
• Manage program budgets and resources.
• Collaborate on outreach strategies and visibility.
