Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Youth Engagement Facilitator to join the Community & Social Care team in Tembisa, Gauteng. The role focuses on empowering local youth, delivering life-skills programs, and building supportive networks with schools, community centres, and families.

The ideal candidate will design and deliver engaging workshops, facilitate group discussions, mentor youth, and monitor progress while reporting to management.

Qualifications

• Requires qualification in social work, youth development, education, psychology, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating youth programs or working with adolescents in social care settings.
• Strong understanding of adolescent development and challenges faced by youth.
• Excellent group facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Local knowledge of Tembisa, Gauteng would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and deliver workshops and activities for youth focusing on life skills and personal development.
• Facilitate group discussions and provide mentoring to youth participants.
• Assess youth needs and connect them with community resources and support services.
• Build positive relationships with youth and foster trust and empowerment.
• Collaborate with local schools, community organizations, and families to extend program reach.
• Monitor progress, document engagement, and report to management.
