Job summary

The role requires a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Education or related field, and at least 3 years' experience with youth, strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, plus the ability to monitor and report on outcomes.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Education, Psychology, Community Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working directly with youth in program delivery or development.
• Demonstrated understanding of adolescent psychology and development.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
• Proven ability to engage and motivate young people.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience in program monitoring and evaluation is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
• Passion for youth empowerment and contributing to positive social change in Mahikeng.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and deliver engaging youth development programs, workshops, and activities.
• Identify the needs of young people in the community and design programs to address these needs effectively.
• Build and maintain relationships with schools, community centers, youth groups, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Recruit and mentor young participants, providing guidance and support throughout their program journey.
• Manage program logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, and participant tracking.
• Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, collecting data and preparing reports on impact and effectiveness.
• Facilitate training sessions and life skills workshops for youth.
• Assist in fundraising efforts by providing program information and success stories.
• Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in youth development.
