Job summary

Placements24 seeks a passionate Youth Development Program Officer to design and manage programs that empower young people in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will collaborate with youth, schools, and community partners to deliver life-skills training, leadership development, and career guidance.

With 2–4 years of direct youth experience and strong facilitation and organizational skills, you will drive workshops, internships, and data reporting while actively participating in community initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 2–4 years of experience with youth in program delivery.
• Ability to design and facilitate workshops for young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of South Africa's youth development landscape is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging youth development programs.
• Recruit and mentor participants for activities.
• Organize workshops, training sessions, and recreational activities.
• Build relationships with youth, schools, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with local businesses for internships and job opportunities.
• Monitor progress and provide guidance to participants.
• Manage logistics including scheduling and venue coordination.
• Collect data and report on activities, achievements, and challenges.
• Contribute to program planning and evaluation.
