Placements24 in Mahikeng, North West, is seeking a Youth Development Facilitator to design and deliver engaging programs that foster personal growth, skill development, and leadership potential among young people.

You will work through direct facilitation, program planning, and community outreach, collaborating with local schools and centers to empower youth and track outcomes. This is a role with meaningful impact on youth in the Mahikeng region.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree or diploma in Youth Development, Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in youth work, facilitation, or program delivery.
• Proven ability to engage and inspire young people.
• Excellent group facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of adolescent development and youth challenges.
• Experience in curriculum development or activity design is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design and facilitate interactive workshops and activities focused on life skills, leadership, and career readiness.
• Develop engaging program content tailored to the needs and interests of young people.
• Mentor and guide youth participants, fostering their personal and social development.
• Collaborate with local schools, community centers, and other organizations to recruit participants and deliver programs.
• Organize and coordinate youth events, projects, and outings.
• Maintain accurate records of participant attendance, progress, and program outcomes.
• Assess the needs of youth participants and adapt program delivery accordingly.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for all participants.
• Stay updated on best practices in youth development and education.
• Contribute to program evaluation and reporting processes.
