Placements24 in Benoni, Gauteng, seeks a dynamic Youth Development Coordinator to design, implement, and manage programs that empower young people. You will lead initiatives that foster growth, skill development, and positive social engagement for youth across the community.

You will collaborate with schools, community centres, volunteers, and partners to deliver workshops, mentoring and activities, while monitoring outcomes and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Youth Development, Social Work, Education, Community Development, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in youth work, program coordination or community development.
• Strong understanding of adolescent development and intervention strategies.
• Budgeting and project management experience.
• Driver's license and flexibility to work evenings/weekends.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement a comprehensive youth development strategy and programs.
• Coordinate and facilitate workshops, mentoring sessions, and recreational activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with participants, families, and community organisations.
• Identify youth needs and develop tailored support plans.
• Manage program budgets and resources effectively.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and report outcomes and impact.
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and program staff.
• Liaise with schools, community centres, and other youth-serving agencies.
• Promote program awareness and recruit participants.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all youth.
