Dentsuaegis is seeking an E-commerce Platform Specialist to manage and optimize our client’s online sales platforms from our Rustenburg offices. You will oversee product listings, order processing, inventory synchronization, and platform feature implementations to maximize sales and deliver a seamless customer experience.

The role requires hands-on technical aptitude, strong analytics, and the ability to troubleshoot and upgrade e-commerce performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing e-commerce platforms and teams.
• Experience with Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce.
• Familiarity with PIM and inventory management systems.
• Ability to analyze sales data and extract actionable insights.
• Basic HTML/CSS for minor site edits is a plus.

E-Commerce Platform Specialist

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced E-commerce Platform Specialist to join their operational team. This crucial role is responsible for the efficient and effective management of their online sales platforms, ensuring a seamless customer experience and maximizing sales potential. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of e-commerce technologies, best practices, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize platform performance. This position requires a hands‑on approach and is based at our client's offices in Rustenburg, North West, ZA. You will be instrumental in managing product listings, order processing, inventory synchronization, and implementing new platform features. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the e-commerce platform, ensuring site stability and optimal performance.
• Manage product catalog, including uploading new products, updating descriptions, pricing, and images.
• Ensure accurate inventory levels are reflected across all sales channels, coordinating with the warehouse team.
• Process and monitor online orders, managing customer inquiries related to order status and fulfillment.
• Implement and manage promotional activities, discounts, and coupon codes on the e-commerce platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues or bugs that arise on the platform.
• Collaborate with web developers and designers to implement new features and enhancements.
• Analyze sales data, website traffic, and conversion rates to identify areas for improvement.
• Stay current with e-commerce trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and security protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an E-commerce Specialist, Platform Manager, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and their functionalities.
• Experience with product information management (PIM) and inventory management systems.
• Proficiency in using back-end e-commerce administration panels.
• Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights from sales and web analytics.
• Experience with HTML and CSS for minor website edits is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site in Rustenburg, North West, ZA.
