Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled VoIP Systems Administrator to manage the organization’s voice communications in Mossel Bay. You will configure, monitor, and maintain PBX platforms, gateways, and related network components to ensure reliable service.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of VoIP experience, strong knowledge of SIP/H.323, and hands-on work with Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, or Cisco Call Manager. You will document procedures and provide end-user support in a telecoms environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT or related field required or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in managing VoIP systems.
• Strong knowledge of SIP/H.323 and PBX platforms.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain VoIP systems and infrastructure.
• Monitor performance and implement preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot VoIP hardware and software issues for end-users.
• Manage user accounts, extensions, and voicemail settings with timely support.
• Apply security best practices for VoIP systems to protect access.
