Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a specialized VoIP Specialist to remotely support Mossel Bay operations. You will design, implement, and manage VoIP systems, ensuring high-quality voice services for clients from a remote setting.

Responsibilities include configuring PBX, SIP trunking, QoS optimization, and ongoing troubleshooting. Requires 4+ years in VoIP with Asterisk/CallManager/FreeSWITCH and strong signaling knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 4+ years hands-on VoIP experience with Asterisk, CallManager or FreeSWITCH.
• Strong knowledge of SIP, H.323, RTP signaling.
• Experience configuring QoS, firewalls and real-time traffic networks.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy VoIP solutions including PBX, SIP trunking, and contact-center platforms.
• Monitor VoIP performance, QoS, and CDRs for optimization and troubleshooting.
• Manage user provisioning, routing rules, and features within the VoIP environment.
• Provide advanced remote technical support for VoIP issues.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging VoIP technologies and best practices.
