Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a VoIP Systems Administrator to join our Stellenbosch team. The role focuses on deploying, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining VoIP infrastructure to ensure reliable communications within the Western Cape.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in VoIP systems administration, with hands-on experience in SIP/H.323 and platforms like Asterisk, Cisco CallManager or FreeSWITCH. Collaboration with IT and network teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in VoIP systems administration or telecoms field.
• Experience with SIP/H.323 and VoIP platforms.
• Experience troubleshooting voice quality and call issues.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain VoIP platforms, PBXs, and related hardware/software.
• Monitor system performance for high availability and quality of voice communications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve VoIP issues including call quality, connectivity, and features.
• Implement and manage security measures for the VoIP environment.
• Collaborate with IT and network teams to integrate VoIP solutions with existing infrastructure.
