Placements24 is seeking a skilled VoIP Systems Administrator to manage and maintain the organization's voice over IP infrastructure in Klerksdorp, South Africa. The role emphasizes reliability, security, and efficient communication across the company.

You will deploy, configure, and support VoIP platforms, PBX systems, and related hardware, ensuring optimal uptime and secure operations while collaborating with IT teams and end-users for seamless communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience administering VoIP systems and PBX.
• Strong knowledge of SIP, H.323, and RTP.
• Experience with network configuration (firewalls/routers/switches) as they relate to VoIP.
• Familiarity with VoIP hardware vendors and software solutions.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain VoIP systems including PBX and voicemail.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and maintain uptime.
• Manage user accounts, extensions, and call routing.
• Implement and enforce security policies for VoIP.
• Collaborate with network/IT teams for integration.
• Provide training and support to end-users on VoIP features.
