Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3–5 years hands-on experience with VoIP and UC systems.
• Strong knowledge of SIP, H.323, and other VoIP protocols.
• Experience with UC platforms like Cisco CUCM, Webex, MS Teams Phone System.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy VoIP and UC solutions (Cisco CUCM, Webex, Teams).
• Manage and maintain telephony infrastructure including PBX, gateways, SBCs.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot voice quality, and resolve incidents.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled VoIP and UC Engineer to join their team in Bloemfontein . This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of Voice over IP (VoIP) and Unified Communications (UC) systems, ensuring seamless and reliable communication services for the organization. You will work with state-of-the-art communication platforms, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to the strategic evolution of our client's communication infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy VoIP and UC solutions (e.g., Cisco Unified Communications, Microsoft Teams Voice, Asterisk).
• Manage and maintain telephony infrastructure, including PBX systems, gateways, and session border controllers (SBCs).
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot voice quality issues, and resolve technical incidents promptly.
• Develop and implement policies for voice security and quality of service (QoS).
• Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure seamless integration of UC services with existing infrastructure.
• Provide end-user support and training on UC features and functionalities.

Requirements
