Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a Trainee Manager (Pipeline) for our Kathu, Northern Cape store. You will learn overall store operations under supervision, performing a wide range of retail duties while developing leadership skills.

The role requires Grade 12, 1–2 years in store retail management, MS Office proficiency, and a valid driver’s license with own transport. Permanent full-time position with market-related benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric is required.
• 1–2 years’ experience in store retail management including stock, cash, reporting, expense control and customer service.
• Computer literate – MS Office.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: ensure goods in transit, cycle counts and stock accuracy; support stock flow to the sales floor.
• Sales Floor & Receiving: assist with stock displays, labeling, pricing and goods receiving; ensure transaction integrity for receipts and returns.
• Sales Targets: assist in achieving store sales targets; coordinate with departments to meet goals; monitor market trends and promotions.
• Point of Sale Operations and Finance: assist with daily cash-ups, POS scheduling, and expense control within budget; support transaction integrity and reporting.
• Customer Service: address customer complaints promptly; maintain customer request system and loyalty signups.
• HR Process Support: assist with leave management, staff files, KRONOS workforce system, and HR policy implementation.
• Trainee Programme Adherence: participate in learning opportunities, complete assessments, and maintain Portfolio of Evidence.
