Job summary

Cashbuild in Mhluzi, MP, South Africa, seeks a Trainee Manager (Internal Applications Only) to support store leadership in achieving growth and compliance. You will assist the Store Manager with business planning, customer service, stock control, HR actions, and safety adherence while driving profitability and market share.

The role requires Grade 12 with 2+ years of retail management, a valid driver’s license, and strong accounting skills. Own transport and cell phone are essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with at least 2 years retail management experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must have strong accounting skills.
• Must be computer literate (Basic computer literacy).
• Must have own transport and cell phone.
• Must have sound knowledge of Health and Safety aspects (OHSA).
• Must have strong Human Resources skills.
• Assist Store Manager to address non-compliance and manage stock.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager to develop, implement, and manage a Store Business Plan aligned with Company strategy.
• Grow and protect market share and sales budgets by category.
• Support Customer Service strategy including customer audits and delivery service.
• Assist with Asset Control: stock, cash, fixed assets and security measures.
• Support Human Resources: recruitment, training, succession planning, communication with employees.
• Support Store Safety standards (OHSA) and incident reporting.
• Maintain merchandising standards, planograms, and store housekeeping.
• Assist in profitability and adherence to financial model and budgets.
