Job summary

Cashbuild is seeking a Trainee Manager for our Bloemfontein store. This internal applications role focuses on protecting and growing market share while aligning with store, division and company strategy.

The successful candidate will have Grade 12, 2+ years retail management, strong accounting, HR and leadership skills, and be able to work under pressure. Own transport, a valid license and basic computer literacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with at least 2 years retail management experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid ID or work permit (local).
• Strong accounting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Computer literacy (basic).
• Strong leadership and administrative skills.
• Own transport and cell phone.
• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety (OHSA) legislation.
• Strong HR skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager to implement and monitor the Customer Service strategy.
• Assist Store Manager to achieve sales budgets and growth objectives by category.
• Assist Store Manager to promote customer loyalty programmes and manage advertising material.
• Assist Store Manager to manage stock movement and stocktakes.
• Assist Store Manager to ensure OHSA compliance and safe working practices.
• Assist Store Manager with recruitment, training and succession planning.
