Job summary

Cashbuild Limited is seeking a Trainee Manager (Internal Applications Only) to support store leadership in protecting and growing market share. You will assist in developing a Store Business Plan, driving sales across categories, and ensuring customer service excellence.

The role requires Grade 12, 2+ years retail management, strong leadership, HR, and admin skills, plus a valid driver’s license and basic computer literacy. Local health and safety knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with at least 2 years retail management experience.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Valid ID or valid work permit (local).
• Must have strong accounting skills.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Must be computer literate (basic).
• Must have strong leadership skills.
• Must have strong administrative skills.
• Must have own transport and cell phone.
• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety (OHSA) in local or neighbouring countries legislation.
• Must have strong Human Resources skills.
• Assist Store Manager to take action on non-compliance and stock management.

Responsibilities

• Protect and grow profitable market share within a store according to strategy.
• Assist Store Manager to develop and implement a Store Business Plan aligned with company strategy.
• Grow and protect market share, achieve sales budgets by category.
• Promote customer loyalty programmes and manage advertising distribution.
• Develop action plans to protect market when competitors enter.
• Implement and monitor Customer Service strategy and audits above 95%.
• Maintain reliable, prompt Customer Delivery Service.
• Grow and maintain VIC client base and achieve transaction budgets.
• Recommend range improvements to fit the market and act on customer surveys.
• Manage stock control including shrinkage, PIC, stock takes, and stock movement.
• Oversee cash, debtors, petty cash, daily banking, and cheque/Credit Card handling.
• Maintain fixed assets, safety measures, and IT equipment protection.
• Support HR functions: recruit, induct, training, succession planning, and communications.
